Hello everyone ! Just wanted to say have a great holiday this week – but make sure that you stay safe!! Mrs Hurt and I will be enjoying ourselves on a special day out at a spa with our daughters, Hannah and Sarah. We can’t wait!! If you are going anywhere special, or doing something exciting, make sure you tell us about it on our blog page. I will keep checking in to see what everyone is up to! Mrs Hurt and I will plan lots of super things to do next half term, See you soon!!
Wow ! Well done 1 AMH – when we did that history work all about things we can do now we are 5, you did some wonderful work with textiles!!
First of all we did some tie dying, and then some applique. (That’s French, but I bet you knew that didn’t you Cheyenne?) After that we did some batik. This is usually done with hot wax, but clever Mrs Hurt found another way of doing it with just flour and water ! – not as dangerous!
When we had done all our 3 patches we chose our favourite to decorate. We used buttons and sequins, and they looked FABULOUS!!
So Mrs Hurt and Mrs Brockhurst have put the quilt on the wall outside our classroom – make sure you check it out! It just shows what you can do when you work as a team!! WELL DONE EVERYONE
I thought I would post a picture of our wonderful helper in class 1 AMH – Timmy certainly seems to be helping people to tidy our room away quickly and sensibly. Love those ears!!!
Hello Mighty Ducks – hope you had a good Tuesday ! I am back tomorrow and I haven’t forgotten my button box! This is what I used to play with when I was a little girl – no X Box or PS3 for me and Mrs Hurt!!! I think you will like it though – it’s like a treasure chest!!
Just a little note to my wonderful children in 1AMH. Today was a really hard day for me with my sore throat and no voice. It just got worse and worse as the day went on, but you children were BRILLIANT!! You really looked after me and it just made me and Mrs Hurt realise how lucky we are as teachers to have you all in our class. I am off to bed with a glass of hot honey and lemon so I can be better for Monday ! – See you all then!
